Fran James has been in the golf business for over 18 years. Born and raised in Durham, she started playing golf at 6 years old. Living on the golf course at Willowhaven Country Club, she was the first girl to play for the Northern High School golf team. She played golf on the Marshall University golf team and was team captain in 1982. She has been an instructor for Peggy Kirk Bell "Golfari" located at Pine Needles in Southern Pines, NC, since 1995 and continues to teach LPGA USGA Girls Golf Program. Fran continues to grow the game of golf by participating in Play Golf America, the Special Olympics, Women's Week, Bring Your Daughter to the course and teaching beginner's classes for women at Durham Tech. She is the tournament director at Hillandale Golf Course and currently serves as a consultant to TaylorMade. Click here for lesson information.
